Prayer Beads
A great time was had by all at our “craft” morning making prayer beads that will be given out at the upcoming New Bloomfield Street Fair on Saturday, September 14th. Prayer beads are a wonderful way to slow yourself down as you say your daily prayers. Too often, we rush through our “laundry list” of things we are asking of God without really taking time to think about each one of them. When you touch each bead on the string, it encourages you to take a moment and think about what you are thanking God for, or asking Him for. Also, when you keep them in your pocket, it reminds you to pray throughout the day. If you would like a string of prayer beads for your own use, there will be a basket of them in the narthex. Please help yourself.
